ROSS AND THE HAILSTONES + BITY BOOKER

The Troubadour, SW5 9JA , [Venue Details]

Ross and the Hailstones are a South London trio blending folk with elements of Americana, alternative, and classical music.

Wednesday,
19 Aug 2026
@8.00pm

Formed in the pubs of Edinburgh, they were reared on foot-stomping tunes from across Britain, Ireland, Scandinavia, and North America, and are fueled by a love of late-night sessions. Alongside traditional material, the band write original songs rich in harmony, exploring nature, folklore, and a changing world.

“This concert will mark the launch of the band's new EP, All Hail the Land. A collection of new original music inspired by nature, folklore, people lost, people gained, and our place in a changing world.”

Bity Booker is an alternative folk musician and visual artist based in Thanet and London. She is a lover of nature, animals, and folklore; she writes and sings gorgeous, wistful songs channeling a lyrical folk tradition.

Bity doesn’t just perform songs; she casts them. Armed with classical guitar, a voice that sounds like it stepped out of a myth, and lyrics full of animals, dreams, ghosts, and forest whispers, Bity crafts a world that’s both familiar and entirely her own.
